Who Writes This Blog

(a.k.a. Who the Hell is "Tatty"?)

By now you're probably wondering "who is this mysterious 'Tatty' who writes this blog?" Well, anonymous blog reader, no need to wonder any longer...

My name is Tatty Wilson. I'm a purple-haired, pierced, 17 year old filmmaker/writer by day and an MVP skater for the Kansas City Roller Warriors by night. I attend a school where, for two hours a day, I focus solely on my film career.

I know you might think a 17 year old wouldn't know squat about filming, and I'll be honest, I don't actually know much more than writing and storytelling, but I'm learning and I hope I can impart some wisdom upon you beautiful people. So this blog is kind of my diary throughout my various projects.

Now here's why roller derby was important enough for me to mention:

Being surrounded by an eclectic group of strong women in my league for the past 6 years has given me a unique perspective on how people work and interact with each other and how people from different cities and states can connect through the smallest of things. Many of my characters are based off the people I have met through roller derby.

My goals in life include: going to university and studying film and screenwriting, touring with a band and filming tour documentaries, writing a novel, and playing derby until my body breaks. Not particularly in that order, and I'm always open for other opportunities and suggestions.

That about sums it up, I think. I'm terrible at writing about myself so I'm just going to stop and go watch more music videos on YouTube. Bye.
